TMSS Coordinator

Role overview

The TMSS Facility Coordinator supports safer day-to-day operations by evaluating machinery and equipment, identifying hazards, and helping put effective controls in place. The position works across assessments, audits, training, and corrective actions to reduce the chance of injury or equipment-related incidents. Close coordination with engineers, maintenance teams, EHS, and management is an important part of the job.

Risk assessment and compliance

• Take part in the risk review process for machines and equipment.
• Support efforts to meet relevant safety standards and compliance expectations.
• Spot possible hazards and suggest corrective measures.

Machine safety implementation

• Help conduct TMSS checks on machinery and equipment.
• Maintain and use machine safety Power Apps.
• Support the company’s machine guarding initiatives.
• Assist with Lockout/Tagout/Tryout (LOTOTO) practices and help ensure they are followed.
• Work with engineers and maintenance teams to improve the safety of machine operations.

Audits and inspections

• Carry out planned inspections focused on machine safety.
• Record observations and recommend improvements where needed.
• Support updates to safety programs when changes are required.

Training and support

• Assist in training employees on machine safety and LOTOTO procedures.
• Take part in safety workshops and awareness drives.
• Provide guidance and respond to safety-related queries.
• Help prepare safety documents and operating procedures.

Incident investigation and reporting

• Support reviews of machine-related incidents and near-miss cases.
• Work with management to help implement corrective actions.

Skills and technical knowledge

The role benefits from a strong understanding of electrical wiring diagrams and electrical systems. Exposure to pneumatic and hydraulic systems is preferred, though not mandatory. Familiarity with safety PLC programming is also useful but not required. A solid grasp of LOTOTO and machine guarding requirements, along with strong problem-solving ability, is important.
