Technical Specialist / Technician

Role Overview

This is a permanent full-time Technical Specialist/Technician position based in Singapore. The role supports system interaction testing for new programs and helps ensure the solution meets or surpasses customer experience expectations under the direction of experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out system interaction testing for new program launches, following guidance from senior engineers.
• Partner with subject matter experts to clarify and define testing requirements.
• Plan logistics and resources so testing activities stay aligned with program timelines.
• Provide first-line troubleshooting when technical issues interrupt testing, and recommend possible fixes or temporary workarounds.
• Gather test outcomes and prepare summaries and reports for the program lead.

Requirements

• A diploma in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering, or at least 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar field.
• Ability to work well with engineers and collaborate effectively with inspectors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Very good written and spoken English, including presentation skills.
• Solid project management ability.
• Basic knowledge of HP TIJ and ink supply systems.
• Comfort with configuring PCs and mobile operating systems and connecting them with test hardware, software, and drivers.
• Knowledge of basic programming languages such as C++, C#, and Visual Basic is an advantage.
• Experience with Oracle database queries, ODBC, MS Query/SQL, and related setup tools.
• Familiarity with MS PowerPoint, Excel, JMP, and CREO.
