About the Role

This role is within the Tech Policy team, dedicated to formulating strategies that leverage emerging technologies to enhance Singapore's resilience and capitalize on economic prospects. Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on technology policies and their implications for diverse stakeholders.
  • Track emerging technology trends and developments to proactively identify potential policy challenges.
  • Formulate strategies for the application of new technologies based on thorough research and analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of technology policies.
  • Ensure alignment of IMDA's initiatives with national strategies, including those led by NAIO and NQO.
  • Facilitate coordination of AI and quantum-related activities within IMDA.
  • Assess the efficacy of current policies and propose enhancements.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with key external stakeholders on relevant technology policy matters.
  • Offer guidance and support concerning technology policy issues.

Requirements

  • A strong academic background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience working with technology teams in research or engineering capacities.
