About the role
This position involves working with older clients and NDIS participants to support independent and safe living at home and in the community. It is a practical, hands-on role that includes assistance with daily activities, personal care and helping clients build meaningful connections, all while following individual care plans and working alongside an office support team.
Key duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as showering and dressing, as well as social support and everyday domestic help.
- Carry out light household duties, including mopping, vacuuming and general cleaning.
- Support clients to stay connected with their community and work toward personal goals.
- Keep coordinators informed about any changes or concerns.
- Maintain respectful and professional relationships with clients.
About you
The ideal candidate is compassionate, committed to supporting others, and has experience in community-based support work. Strong communication skills and a professional, caring approach are essential.
Required qualifications and checks
- Certificate III in Individual Support or an equivalent qualification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working With Children Check.
- Manual handling certificate.
- Infection control training.
- Driver licence and access to a registered, roadworthy vehicle.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
