Role overview

This opportunity is for a Supply Planner within the Integrated Planning function in North York, Ontario. The position is based at 25 Sheppard Ave W, North York, ON M2N 6S8 and follows a hybrid work arrangement. It is an existing opening.

About the company

Nestlé Canada is recognized for brands such as KitKat®, Gerber®, Nescafe®, and Maggi®. The organization emphasizes a people-first environment where employees are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work. With more than 3,400 team members in Canada, the company values agility, courage, trust, curiosity, and a willingness to challenge the usual way of doing things. Its culture is built around empowering people, strengthening engagement, and supporting a strong workplace experience.

What this role does

The main purpose of the role is to calculate net supply requirements for plants and vendors, build the supply plan, and prepare deployment plans on weekly and monthly cycles. The goal is to keep replenishment of R&P materials aligned with customer demand while taking into account network complexity, inventory targets, and supply limitations. Where needed, the planner will also create alternative supply scenarios and evaluate their practicality, risks, and potential benefits.

Key responsibilities

In this position, you will own the supply planning process from end to end within the SNP network. You will use planning parameters to support strong execution of KPIs, inventory management standards, and freshness targets. The role includes reviewing exceptions, making priority-based decisions, and adjusting plans after arbitration when needed.

You will work closely with manufacturing teams to manage lot sizes, cycle times, and R&P inventory levels so that finished goods inventory remains at optimal levels. The role also involves supporting demand planning efforts by helping improve forecast accuracy. In addition, you will optimize shipments to maintain continuity of supply across manufacturing operations.

A working understanding of ERP systems, material flow, and cross-functional collaboration is essential for success in this role.

Requirements

Candidates should bring experience applying LEAN methods and tools, along with a background in inventory optimization. The role calls for someone who can partner effectively with internal Operations and Logistics teams, Nestlé Inter-Market partners (IMS), and external third-party manufacturers.

Strong data handling and reporting skills are needed, including use of tools such as Power BI, Excel, Tableau, or similar platforms. You should also have a solid grasp of the local market, product category, complexity drivers, and key stakeholders. Analytical thinking and the ability to turn data into sound business decisions are important, as is comfort using planning software and related tools.

Preferred qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or Economics is preferred. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in supply planning, inventory management, distribution planning, load planning, or logistics.

Strong communication and leadership skills are important, especially the ability to influence and collaborate across departments. Experience with supply planning systems such as OMP and SAP APO is an advantage, as is familiarity with brand profitability, product portfolios, and end-to-end value chain drivers. Knowledge of tools such as SAP Business Objects, BW, Power BI, and Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams will be useful.

Compensation and hiring notes

The annual salary range for this position is CAD 85,000 to CAD 90,000. Nestlé Canada notes that compensation is aligned with equitable pay practices and that candidates may be reviewed as applications are received, so early submission is encouraged.

The employer is committed to equal opportunity, diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. Qualified applicants from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. If accommodations are needed during the hiring process, candidates should notify Human Resources so support can be arranged.
