Specialist Cleaner

Role overview

Pinnacle Group is hiring a Specialist Cleaner to help maintain high cleaning standards across sites in and around Chichester. This position sits within the Specialist Cleaning team and involves visiting different locations, mainly housing-related sites such as sheltered accommodation, extra care schemes and general needs council estates.

The wider Soft Facilities Management division supports homes, schools, universities and public sector bodies, including housing providers and blue light organisations. Its focus is on keeping spaces clean, safe and welcoming while delivering strong service, community value and customer care.

What you will do

You will carry out a range of specialist and general cleaning tasks while working independently and moving between locations as needed. The role calls for a dependable, adaptable person who takes pride in maintaining safe and well-presented environments.

• Inspect communal areas for lighting issues and replace bulbs when needed.
• Clear gutters and external pipework, using the correct safety equipment.
• Prepare and grit paths during winter conditions.
• Clean and dry glass surfaces on both the inside and outside of buildings.
• Carry out strip and seal floor cleaning.
• Use specialist cleaning tools such as carpet steam cleaners, floor scrubber machines, reach-and-wash systems and purified-water window cleaning systems.
• Use pressure washers and cleaning chemicals on external surfaces including gutters, driveways and fences.

Working hours

The shift pattern is 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Requirements

• A full UK driving licence held for at least one year.
• Previous experience in cleaning services and with cleaning equipment.
• Experience using reach-and-wash and other window-cleaning systems is an advantage.
• Deep cleaning experience is preferred.
• The physical ability to handle heavy cleaning machinery.
