About the Company

Morphe creates high-performance, design-forward beauty products made for everyday use and offered at an accessible price point. The brand combines strong product development, regulatory, and supply chain expertise to bring fresh, creative products to a global audience.

The company is looking for a Sales Operations Specialist to help shape the next phase of growth in beauty.

Role Overview

This role is responsible for managing the full commercial planning cycle for selected retailers. The Specialist will work to drive profitable revenue growth, control dilution, and help the business exceed quarterly and annual goals. The position is highly cross-functional and works closely with Sales, Demand Planning, Supply, Fulfillment, Finance, and external retailer planning teams to keep forecasts, inventory, and execution aligned.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical thinking, business judgment, and a hands-on approach to identifying risks, turning data into action, and improving planning processes across the organization.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own forecasts, inventory plans, and open-to-buy planning to support retail goals and revenue targets.
  • Review sales performance, sell-through, weeks of supply, and inventory patterns to spot risks and growth opportunities.
  • Work with Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance teams to coordinate inventory movement and business priorities.
  • Monitor stock positions and flag possible inventory shortages or overstock situations early.
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual planning, including revenue forecasting and performance reporting.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools for sales, inventory health, and promotion analysis.
  • Assess promotional results and suggest actions to improve sales and margin performance.
  • Track purchase orders, replenishment timing, and shipment schedules to support product availability.
  • Prepare business reviews, leadership summaries, and retailer-facing reports with insights and action steps.
  • Coordinate with retailer partners and internal teams to align on forecasts, inventory requirements, and sales expectations.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to support strategic decisions and leadership requests.
  • Keep planning systems, sales reporting, and inventory trackers accurate and up to date.

Working Relationships

This role partners regularly with Sales, Finance, Inventory Management, Demand Planning, and Retailers.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 2–3+ years of experience in commercial planning, commercial operations, sales operations, sales planning, merchandise planning, or a similar function.
  • Background in beauty, consumer packaged goods, or a related industry is preferred.
  • Experience working with omni-channel mass and/or specialty retailers, plus e-commerce channels including Amazon, is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel capability, including tools such as XLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  • Exposure to PowerBI, NetSuite, or similar BI/ERP systems is preferred; planning and AI tools are a plus.
  • Strong financial understanding and advanced analytical ability, with the skill to convert complex data into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a resourceful, proactive approach to solving problems.
  • Ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
  • Comfort working collaboratively with both internal teams and external partners.
