About the role
This newly established fixed-term position for 12 months is responsible for coordinating and administrating recruitment activity from start to finish. The role helps ensure hiring processes are efficient, accurate, and centred on a positive candidate journey.
Working alongside Talent Acquisition Business Partners and hiring managers, you will keep recruitment workflows moving, provide dependable support, and maintain a high standard of service and detail.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver full recruitment coordination and administrative support across several business portfolios.
- Review applications against set criteria and assist with identifying suitable candidates.
- Arrange interviews, including candidate, hiring manager, and panel scheduling.
- Organise pre-employment checks such as references, medical assessments, police vetting, and verification of work eligibility.
- Keep candidate and recruitment records accurate in Workday, while supporting system compliance and data integrity.
- Handle candidate communication throughout the hiring process to help create an excellent experience.
- Support reporting, recruitment metrics, and related analysis.
- Assist with onboarding coordination so new starters have a smooth transition.
- Provide administrative assistance for Watercare’s Early Careers programmes, including graduate, intern, and student recruitment activities.
About you
You are organised, service-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change quickly. You manage multiple tasks with ease, pay close attention to detail, and care about creating a strong experience for both applicants and internal stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
- Previous experience in recruitment, HR administration, coordination, or a comparable support role.
- Strong planning, organisation, and time-management ability.
- Solid administration and data-handling skills.
- Experience with HR or recruitment platforms, with Workday considered an advantage.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative style and the ability to form effective working relationships.
- High accuracy, sound judgement, discretion, and strong attention to detail.
