Role overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Product Development Associate to join the Product team in New York City. This full-time position is based in Downtown Manhattan and follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

In this role, you will help the Head of Product manage the full lifecycle of Denim and RTW products, supporting work from early concept development through bulk manufacturing. You will work closely with design, technical design, production, and operations teams, so a strong interest in denim, a collaborative mindset, and a practical understanding of garment construction, materials, washing, and finishing are important for success.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the seasonal development and production calendar on track from the initial design handoff through bulk shipment, making sure key milestones are completed on time.
  • Monitor proto, PPS, TOP, and SMS sample requests with vendors each day, update sample status, maintain internal records, follow up on delays, and share progress with relevant teams.
  • Work with design and technical design teams to review fit samples, note corrections, and ensure clear direction is sent back to vendors.
  • Prepare samples for weekly fittings and participate in the fitting process.
  • Keep BOMs, trim cards, fabric submissions, and wash standards accurate and current across seasonal, core, and specialty product lines.
  • Support sourcing and tracking of raw materials, including fabrics, trims, hardware, and labels, ensuring supplier quality, pricing, and lead times align with schedule requirements.
  • Create and manage bulk purchase orders for trims, fabrics, and garments.
  • Update weekly WIP charts with vendors, monitor production timelines, identify risks, and suggest practical solutions to help deliveries stay on schedule.
  • Maintain detailed production tracking tools covering PO status, sample approvals, ex-factory dates, and shipment readiness.
  • Serve as a point of coordination between design, technical design, production, and operations teams.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in product development and/or production, preferably in premium denim, luxury apparel, or contemporary ready-to-wear.
  • Working knowledge of garment construction, industry terminology, and tech pack management.
  • Experience handling both overseas and domestic development and production.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort using relevant systems; Adobe Illustrator experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organization and the ability to manage multiple styles, vendors, and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills, with comfort working across time zones with international vendors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Technical Design, Apparel Production, Merchandising, or a related discipline.

Benefits

  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Sick leave
  • Clothing allowance
  • Tech allowance
