You will work in a collaborative, inclusive team and contribute to a business that is focused on more sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a small document control team, typically consisting of 5 to 10 people, either at department level or for a project-specific team.
- Ensure project documentation is correctly recorded, maintained, tracked, and distributed through an Electronic Document Management System.
- Maintain an accurate project database that includes every revision of all issued documents and drawings, along with complete metadata for each record.
- Track and record every document issued to each company throughout the full life of the project.
- Handle difficult and highly complex assignments that require sound judgment and alignment with company and functional policies.
- Act as a lead-level individual contributor with advanced technical knowledge in document control and related systems.
- Interpret technical support needs and guide complex work assignments using established standards, procedures, engineering principles, and mathematical concepts where relevant.
- Work with limited supervision, with guidance typically received on a weekly to monthly basis and periodic review of completed work for accuracy.
- Provide direction to a small number of team members by assigning tasks, explaining work methods, and checking completed output.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a technical school graduate with at least 7 years of relevant experience in a specialized area, or an equivalent mix of education, training, and hands-on experience.
You should be recognized as a subject matter expert who can influence others on complex topics, including sensitive and challenging issues.
A strong grasp of systems, processes, and tools used in the field is important, along with the ability to support others, resolve issues, and contribute to improvements in systems or workflows.
