About the Role
Our client, a prominent adhesive and chemical manufacturing company with facilities in Patna and Vapi, is seeking an experienced Plant Head for their Vapi location. This role is crucial for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective production plans, manage raw material, packaging material, and finished goods inventory.
- Utilize available resources and technologies to create innovative systems and processes.
- Oversee production, quality assurance, logistics, and ensure timely deliveries while managing variances and yield.
- Coordinate effectively with departments such as purchasing, quality assurance, and research & development.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to execute routine and preventive maintenance, ensuring maximum machine availability.
- Manage safety, health, and environmental concerns within the unit, fostering a strong safety culture to achieve zero accidents and non-compliances.
- Maintain plant infrastructure and equipment according to sound engineering standards and 5S practices.
- Ensure adherence to all statutory compliances applicable to a manufacturing unit, conducting regular audits to identify and rectify gaps.
- Drive productivity improvements and 5S initiatives, troubleshoot process and machine-related issues, and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Implement and follow review mechanisms like DFC, IRM, and OAAP reporting systems.
- Review and approve all expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
