Role summary
This role is focused on accurately preparing customer orders from the putaway area and sales floor, with careful attention to item scanning, product condition, and expiry dates. The picker must follow company standards, work efficiently, and make sure every order is complete and correct.
Key duties
- Scan and pick each product one by one while assembling orders.
- Carry out quality checks on every item collected.
- Confirm that all picked products comply with the expiry-date policy.
- Check out-of-stock situations with the relevant section owner.
- Share feedback when incorrect items are picked or product quality falls below standard.
- Keep the putaway area neat and ensure unused trolleys and crates are returned to storage.
- Escalate issues to the line manager, such as incorrect product images, wrong locations, or system problems affecting picking.
- Make sure all putaway points and crates have barcodes that can be scanned.
Requirements
- High school education or a diploma.
- At least 2 years of experience, preferably in e-commerce operations.
- Retail online business exposure is an added advantage.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Solid understanding of quality control procedures.
- Good familiarity with retail products.
