Role Overview
The company is hiring a Professional Perfumer (Cross-Category) to develop, adapt, and evaluate fragrances across categories while working closely with internal teams and customers.
Requirements
- You should have at least 7 years of professional experience in cross-category fragrance creation and re-creation.
- You must be able to translate GCMS data into commercially workable fragrance formulations.
- Strong olfactory assessment skills and solid technical understanding are essential.
- Prior experience in a fast-moving fragrance development setting is required.
- Good verbal and written communication abilities are needed.
- You should be confident in presenting ideas and findings.
- The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic, and collaborative.
- You must be comfortable working as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Develop fragrances that align with project specifications and are completed within agreed timelines.
- Refine or rework fragrance formulas based on customer instructions, internal quality expectations, and shortages of raw materials.
- Join customer meetings with sales and marketing teams when needed to support presentations and technical discussions.
- Recommend raw materials based on technical performance, value for cost, and sustainability considerations.
- Take part in fragrance assessment sessions and raw material review panels.
- Support the resolution of quality control issues when required.
- Collaborate closely with fellow perfumers, evaluators, and the sales and marketing functions.
- Assist in perfumery-related staff training whenever needed.
