Role overview
dnata catering & retail is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join its team in Broadbeach, Queensland. This position supports payroll operations across a large national workforce and requires someone who can work accurately, handle deadlines, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.

What you will do
- Run weekly and fortnightly payroll cycles for employees across Australia from start to finish.
- Carry out payroll checks, reconciliations, and compliance reviews.
- Maintain onboarding records and employee information across multiple platforms.
- Apply award and enterprise agreement rules correctly when processing pay changes.
- Administer superannuation, leave accruals, and payroll corrections.
- Assist with payroll processing for labour hire workers nationwide.
- Handle payroll questions promptly and professionally.
- Look for ways to streamline payroll processes and strengthen accuracy.
What the role calls for
- At least 2 years of payroll experience is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of payroll laws and entitlements, including superannuation, parental leave, workers compensation, and long service leave.
- Proven experience interpreting awards and enterprise agreements.
- Careful attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
- Confident Excel skills and solid system proficiency; Rockfast experience is an advantage.
- Comfort working to tight deadlines in a busy environment.
- Clear, proactive communication and a problem-solving mindset.
- High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and discretion.
- A cooperative, team-oriented approach suited to a close-knit workplace.
