About RTN Mental Health
RTN Mental Health Solutions has seen rapid expansion over the past year, growing its team from 30 people to more than 110. The organisation is strengthening the support it provides to patients as it continues to scale.
As a recognised provider of ADHD and ASD diagnostic services, RTN is focused on delivering neurodiversity support that is accessible, compassionate, and efficient. The company is looking for a friendly, well-organised, and proactive Patient Support Coordinator to join its NHS Patient Support team.
The role
In this position, you will be the welcoming and dependable first contact for clients, families, clinicians, and other external contacts using RTN services. You will play an important part in helping people feel informed, supported, and respected throughout their journey.
Reporting to the Patient Support Manager or Team Lead, you will manage inbound and outbound communications, organise appointments and clinician diaries, keep records accurate, and provide administrative support across NHS services.
This is a permanent full-time remote role with a salary of £25,000 per year.
- The organisation is also building its wider administrative teams, so strong candidates may be considered for other relevant opportunities across the business.
Key responsibilities
Your work will include handling communications, supporting clients, coordinating scheduling, and keeping information up to date while maintaining a calm and professional approach.
Communication and client contact
- Manage incoming and outgoing phone calls and emails in a timely, courteous, and compassionate way.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for clients and families, answering queries, offering suitable guidance, and connecting them with the right team where needed.
Scheduling and coordination
- Assist with organising clinician diaries, appointments, and service administration so that support runs smoothly and patients are seen promptly.
Complaints and issue handling
- Receive, record, and help resolve client concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating more serious matters when necessary.
Records and administration
- Keep accurate records of communications, appointments, and updates in CRM and practice management systems.
Team working and compliance
- Work collaboratively with clinicians, administration colleagues, and management to support day-to-day operations and continuity of care.
- Handle all client information discreetly and in line with RTN policies, GDPR, and relevant mental health service procedures.
About you
You are expected to be compassionate, organised, detail-oriented, and committed to giving clients and families a dependable experience. You should be comfortable managing a busy workload while staying calm and professional.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service, administration, or a communications-focused role.
- Confidence handling a high volume of phone calls and emails with empathy and professionalism.
- Strong organisation skills, including the ability to prioritise work, manage deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
- Good technical confidence with Microsoft Office, email platforms, CRM tools, and digital databases.
- Ability to manage sensitive information discreetly and in line with GDPR.
- A client-first attitude with an approachable, compassionate manner.
- Experience in healthcare, social care, mental health, or neurodevelopmental services is helpful but not required.
Values and what the role offers
- Salary of £25,000 per annum.
- 100% remote working.
- A stable, permanent, full-time position.
- The chance to contribute to ADHD, autism, and mental health services.
- A supportive and inclusive culture that values individuality and neurodiversity.
- Opportunity to join a fast-growing organisation making a meaningful impact.
Our values
RTN Mental Health is guided by three core values: Respect, Transformation, and Nurture. These principles shape how the organisation works with patients and how it supports its own people.
- Respect: listening with empathy, valuing lived experience, and making sure every voice is heard.
- Transformation: staying innovative, curious, and focused on better ways to deliver high-quality service.
- Nurture: leading with patience, recognising achievements, and supporting employee growth.
