About the Role
This position is with a C2-level government company that represents an important milestone in the growth of Saudi Arabia’s airport sector. The organization operates both domestic and international airports and is focused on creating a modern airport network that strengthens tourism, improves service standards, and increases operational efficiency in support of Saudi Vision 2030. It also works to expand airport development and attract more investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely run Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) during aircraft arrival and departure, complete daily checks, and escalate any faults or abnormalities.
- Follow apron safety rules and work closely with the control tower and apron operations staff.
- Handle Ground Power Units (GPUs) used to power aircraft, including preventive and corrective upkeep, and keep the equipment ready before and during aircraft use.
- Record maintenance activity in logs and prepare technical documentation and reports.
- Operate and maintain Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA) units, perform preventive and corrective servicing, and ensure the right cooling or heating output according to aircraft type and weather conditions.
- Carry out regular servicing and minor repairs while monitoring equipment performance and operational effectiveness.
- Manage the Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS), including testing and calibration for different aircraft models.
- Detect technical problems quickly and take action to resolve them.
- Liaise with system engineers and external service providers as needed.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Passenger Boarding Bridges, and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues.
- Complete periodic inspections and maintain compliance with safety requirements.
- Work in coordination with equipment operators and the airport maintenance team.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar field.
