Role overview

This position focuses on keeping procurement work accurate, compliant, and efficient so that purchase requests are converted into purchase orders on time and in line with internal policies and business needs. The role supports dependable supply execution from order creation through project commissioning, helping strengthen customer satisfaction and repeat business.

What you will do

• Handle procurement activities with care by checking purchase requisitions for correctness and compliance before turning them into purchase orders.
• Support a strong procure-to-pay process by making sure data is accurate and procurement transactions are processed without delays.
• Help ensure materials are available when needed by managing purchase orders proactively and working closely with suppliers to match production plans and project schedules.
• Monitor order acknowledgements, follow goods receipt status, and assist with invoice checks to improve visibility and payment accuracy.
• Coordinate with planning, logistics, and finance teams to keep supply chain activities aligned and running smoothly.
• Resolve issues linked to cost, quality, delivery, and specifications by communicating clearly with suppliers and driving timely corrective action.
• Support supplier performance tracking and risk reduction through the use of digital tools such as SAP and SAP Ariba.
• Work only with approved and qualified suppliers in line with company standards and sourcing strategy.
• Contribute to operational discipline, continuous improvement, and reliable supply chain performance that supports wider business goals.

Background and requirements

• A commercial or technical educational background with prior purchasing experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in operational purchasing or a similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office and SAP, particularly SAP MM.
• A dependable, self-directed team player who pays attention to detail and approaches problems logically.
• Solid understanding of procurement principles and standard best practices.
• A strong commitment to compliance and ethical conduct.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an advantage.
