Role overview
This position is for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician based in Chennai, with work at Gummidipoondi. The role focuses on keeping production equipment running smoothly through planned servicing, fault diagnosis, repairs, and replacement of mechanical parts.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery.
- Identify mechanical issues and resolve them quickly to reduce equipment downtime.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Service gearboxes, pumps, compressors, conveyors, bearings, and other rotating equipment.
- Perform alignment, fitting, assembly, and replacement work on mechanical components.
Preferred profile
- Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with gearbox and pump servicing.
- Ability to replace bearings and perform shaft alignment.
- Knowledge of conveyor maintenance.
- Familiarity with preventive and breakdown maintenance practices.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings.

Compensation
The salary range is 3,50,000 to 4,50,000 per year, with a take-home pay of 20,000 to 30,000 per month.
