About the Opportunity

Fonterra is seeking a Manager for Vulnerability Management to strengthen security across a large and varied technology landscape. Reporting to the Head of Security Operations, this position is responsible for finding, ranking, and pushing forward remediation for security vulnerabilities and exposures in a way that is risk-aware, consistent, and transparent.

In this role, you will convert threat intelligence and vulnerability findings into practical remediation actions that fit business priorities and the organisation’s risk tolerance. By partnering with internal teams and external vendors, you will help leaders make informed decisions, lower cyber risk, and ensure issues are resolved quickly and accurately to protect the co-operative.

About Fonterra

Fonterra Te Mātāpuna is a global dairy co-operative owned by New Zealand dairy farmers. The organisation is built on care, collaboration, and contribution, and offers an environment where people can grow their careers while contributing to meaningful change.

What You’ll Bring

You are an experienced vulnerability management professional with a solid background in information security or IT, supported by a relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience. You have strong knowledge of vulnerability management methods, frameworks, and end-to-end lifecycle processes, along with hands-on exposure to configuration and patch management in complex enterprise settings across both IT and OT.

You are comfortable working with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams as well as service providers, and you take a collaborative approach to driving remediation outcomes. You can influence stakeholders without formal authority, build trusted working relationships, and explain technical risk in a way that makes sense to non-technical audiences.

Benefits and Support

  • Competitive and fair pay practices
  • Health and wellbeing support, including medical and mental health assistance
  • Opportunities for professional development
  • Support for long-term career growth
  • Flexible working arrangements where possible, including hybrid options
  • Employee recognition initiatives
  • Support for community participation and cultural connection

Values and Inclusion

Fonterra’s values — Good Together, Better Every Day, and Every Drop Counts — guide how the co-operative works with farmers, customers, communities, and each other. The company welcomes people from all backgrounds and encourages applications from individuals of every ethnicity, gender, identity, orientation, age, ability, neurotype, culture, and religion.

Applicants are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every listed requirement, as potential and growth are highly valued. If accessibility support or adjustments are needed during the recruitment process, the recruiter can assist to ensure fair participation.
