Role overview
This position is responsible for keeping the hotel safe, operational, and ready for guests at all times. The Maintenance Technician handles repairs, routine upkeep, and day-to-day facility support, with a strong focus on fast troubleshooting and dependable service.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance needs raised by guests and staff.
- Identify faults and complete repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, inspections, and inventory usage.
- Support room turnover work, furniture relocation, and small renovation tasks.
- Maintain clean and safe workspaces while following safety practices.
- Liaise with external vendors and contractors when additional support is required.
Required qualifications
- Prior experience working in hotel maintenance or a commercial facility environment.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose problems and resolve them independently.
- Good communication skills and solid time management.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts when needed.
- Physical capability to lift, climb, and safely use maintenance tools and equipment.
