Role overview

Fitness Champs Aquatics in Dubai is hiring dependable, alert, and professional lifeguards to support its expanding network of community and school-based locations. The position suits qualified candidates who are committed to maintaining a safe aquatic environment while assisting with learn-to-swim classes, holiday camps, and other water-based activities.

As part of the coaching team, you will help create a secure, friendly, and enjoyable setting for swimmers, visitors, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Keep a continuous watch over the pool and nearby areas.
• Protect the wellbeing of swimmers, visitors, and colleagues at all times.
• React promptly to incidents and follow emergency procedures correctly.
• Perform rescues and give first aid when needed.
• Check poolside safety regularly and escalate hazards without delay.
• Enforce pool rules and all safety protocols consistently.
• Help with swimming lessons, holiday camps, and special events when required.
• Support the setup and upkeep of equipment.
• Carry out daily safety and operations checklists.
• Keep the pool area tidy, orderly, and presentable.
• Offer courteous and helpful service to parents, swimmers, schools, and community users.

Requirements

• A recognised pool lifeguard certification such as NPLQ, a UAE Lifeguard Licence, or an equivalent credential.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
• Prior experience in lifeguarding is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of pool safety standards and emergency response procedures.
• Strong spoken communication and customer service abilities.
• A dependable, professional, and proactive work style.
• The ability to stay composed in high-pressure situations.
• Availability during evenings, weekends, and school holidays.

Preferred background

It would be beneficial to have experience in schools, sports clubs, or commercial swim academies, as well as exposure to learn-to-swim programmes and holiday camps. Familiarity with UAE health and safety requirements is also desirable.
