Overview
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Laundry Worker to support cleanliness and linen availability at a long-term care facility. This role helps ensure that garments and linens are kept clean, organized, and ready for use. Responsibilities
- Gather, separate, wash, dry, fold, and hand out linens and personal clothing.
- Use laundry machines and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Keep records related to laundry work and alert a supervisor about upkeep or safety concerns.
- Work in line with infection prevention rules and universal precautions to maintain sanitation.
- Provide courteous, positive service to residents, staff, and visitors.
- Carry out additional assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior laundry experience is helpful but not mandatory.
- A positive approach and the ability to communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership are important for daily work.
- Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 50 pounds, and remain standing, sitting, bending, and walking for long periods.
- Comfortable working around cleaning products.
- Must be able to follow spoken and written directions and complete repetitive routine tasks each day.
- Residence within the service area is required.
