G4S is looking for a dependable and self-driven Kitchen Porter to join its catering operation in Cheltenham. This position sits within a hardworking team and reports into the Head Chef. Working pattern and pay

The role offers a salary of £27,628.80 per year. It is a permanent position with 40 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday between 06:30 and 15:30. The post is based in Cheltenham.

Key duties

  • Keep kitchen equipment, cookware, utensils, and work surfaces thoroughly cleaned and stored correctly.
  • Support general floor cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping in kitchen areas.
  • Remove waste on a regular basis while following the site’s recycling rules.
  • Follow all relevant client and company procedures covering health and safety, food handling, COSHH, PPE, and manual handling.
  • Report hazards, incidents, near misses, and accidents as soon as they are identified.
  • Use, store, and control cleaning products, chemicals, and machinery safely and appropriately.
  • Complete and keep up to date all required food safety and health and safety records.
  • Take part in required mandatory and online training and record completion on the training log.
  • Follow corporate security requirements and maintain a professional approach at all times.
