Role Overview
The Junior Data Analyst will help transform data into actionable insight across client digital experiences. Rather than simply reporting results, the role calls for someone who can question changes in metrics, understand what they mean for the business, and recommend next steps. The position focuses on supporting web analytics implementation and optimization, especially through Google Analytics 4, while maintaining data quality and uncovering opportunities that improve performance.
What You Will Do
- Apply technical knowledge of Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and related digital analytics tools.
- Build and execute tracking and tagging plans, working with development teams to ensure user activity is captured accurately across client websites.
- Support analytics work such as automated reporting, tagging, data visualization, requirements collection, documentation, and ad hoc analysis, while highlighting the business takeaway behind the numbers.
- Help define KPIs and measurement frameworks that connect directly to business goals.
- Look for ways to improve how data is collected, combined, and analyzed.
- Create recurring reports, scorecards, and dashboards for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and on-demand requests, and share meaningful insights from the data.
- Work with teams across the organization and help communicate with clients in a way that builds trust.
What We Are Looking For
- A naturally curious person who enjoys using data to improve experiences, performance, and decisions.
- Someone who asks deeper questions instead of accepting surface-level answers.
- A candidate who wants to present data with an informed point of view.
- Comfort in exploring messy datasets and identifying new trends.
- Strong time management and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and accountable approach to work.
- Openness to feedback and a desire to keep improving.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Good command of MS Excel for analysis.
- Ability to create dashboards using Tableau, Looker Studio, Power BI, or similar visualization tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including comfort speaking with internal stakeholders and clients.
- Google Tag Manager and BigQuery experience is considered an advantage.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is CAD 55,000 to CAD 65,000. Final pay will depend on factors such as experience, skills, knowledge, and relevant certifications.
