Role Summary

This full-time, on-site HSE Officer position is based in Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The role centers on putting health, safety, and environmental processes into practice across project sites and facilities, while continuously checking that they are followed. The officer will help create a safer workplace by spotting risks, verifying controls, supporting incident reviews, and keeping HSE records organized and up to date. The role also requires working closely with project managers, site supervisors, and frontline teams to reinforce safe working habits and maintain alignment with company, local, and international safety expectations.

Key Duties

• Deploy and oversee health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures at site and facility level.
• Carry out risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits to identify unsafe conditions or practices.
• Detect hazards and recommend practical corrective measures to reduce risk.
• Lead safety talks, briefings, and toolbox meetings for workers and site teams.
• Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions.
• Maintain accurate HSE logs, documents, and compliance records.
• Ensure day-to-day adherence to company rules, local regulations, and recognized international safety standards.
• Work with project stakeholders to encourage a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of health and safety and workplace safety practices, especially in construction and electromechanical environments.
• Background in EHS and occupational health, including risk assessment, hazard control, and prevention of incidents.
• A recognized HSE certification such as NEBOSH or an equivalent qualification is required.
• Knowledge of local HSE rules and international standards, along with experience applying HSE management systems.
• Good communication skills for training delivery, safety meetings, and report writing.
• Comfortable working on site within a multidisciplinary team, with strong attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Prior experience in an HSE Officer or comparable role in construction, engineering, or industrial settings is an advantage.
• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
