Role overview

Responsibilities

• Keep floors clean by sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing as needed.
• Remove dust from furniture and other surfaces.
• Vacuum carpets, area rugs, drapes, and upholstered furnishings.
• Prepare guest rooms by making beds and replacing used sheets.
• Replenish towels, toiletries, and similar guest supplies.
• Maintain stocked linen storage areas.
• Clean, sanitize, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
• Collect, document, and report any lost and found property.
• Respond to requests for extra supplies or other guest needs.
• Share basic information about the property and available facilities.
• Collect debris and empty waste containers.
• Wash clothing and household linens when required.
• Carry out general light cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Purchase food and household supplies when needed.
• Wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
• Address guest complaints, questions, or concerns in a professional manner.

Working conditions

This is a term role with scheduled shift work. The position requires 30 to 48 hours per week. Work is carried out on site in Ingonish Beach, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada.
