Role Summary
This full-time, on-site position is for a Head of Information Technology at a new startup within Sagest.tech, located in Dubai. The role is responsible for setting IT direction, managing delivery, and executing technology initiatives that support the business.
What You Will Do
- Define and drive IT strategy in line with the company’s goals.
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations and core infrastructure.
- Ensure technology services run reliably and securely across all departments.
- Lead IT teams and coordinate their work effectively.
- Improve system performance and operational efficiency.
- Align technology decisions with business priorities to support innovation and expansion.
- Take ownership of the technology function from the earliest stage of a lean startup.
Candidate Profile
- Strong understanding of information technology principles and practices.
- Hands-on experience in IT management and operations, including team leadership.
- Ability to build and execute IT strategies that support organizational objectives.
- Good knowledge of infrastructure planning, deployment, upkeep, and optimization.
- Excellent analytical thinking, sound judgment, and leadership skills.
- Capability to manage budgets, resources, and external vendors efficiently.
- Awareness of new technologies and how they can support business growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; higher qualifications or certifications such as ITIL or PMP are considered advantageous.
