About the role
Tech Pipeline builds practical software that helps operations teams remove friction from day-to-day business workflows. This position supports a client project for a US financial services company that is refreshing its internal operational systems. As a Graduate Frontend Developer, you will contribute to browser-based tools that make it easier for operations staff to review logs, spot reconciliation issues, and clear process bottlenecks.
This is a hybrid opportunity. You will spend part of your week working with the team in a shared workspace and the rest focusing from home. The role is suited to someone who is early in their frontend journey, has a strong grasp of web fundamentals, and is genuinely interested in how user interfaces help people complete real work more efficiently.
What you will do
- Create and refine straightforward web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
- Work with backend engineers to connect frontend forms and views to operational databases and log data.
- Observe how operators use the tools, identify pain points, and adjust layouts to reduce friction.
- Build UI elements that help users inspect logs and investigate stalled transactions without needing extra technical help.
- Design clean tables and forms that simplify the handling of complex financial reconciliation records.
- Check that interfaces behave correctly across different screen sizes and continue to function smoothly.
What we are looking for
- Working knowledge of frontend basics, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- A preference for clear, usable interfaces rather than heavily styled or overly complex designs.
- The ability to describe how a user interface functions in simple, non-technical language.
- A methodical approach to debugging, including using browser consoles and network tools to locate issues.
- Comfort in a hybrid setup that combines focused remote work with occasional in-person collaboration.
- A cooperative mindset and willingness to ask questions when you need support.
Helpful background
- Exposure to React, Vue, or another modern JavaScript framework through study or personal projects.
- Prior experience in customer service, retail, or administration where daily work involved awkward or outdated software.
- Basic familiarity with Git or other shared code repositories.
What the role offers
- Competitive compensation for a graduate-level position while you build your experience.
- Exposure to how frontend work connects with live databases and real business logic.
- Mentorship from senior developers who value clean code and practical solutions.
- A balanced mix of collaborative office time and remote flexibility.
- Opportunity to contribute to software that people rely on in their daily jobs.
- Hardware and setup support provided so you can work effectively.
Working style at Tech Pipeline
The team operates in a structured, hands-on way, keeping meetings light and relying on clear documentation so next steps are always obvious. In hybrid settings, in-person time is used for workflow mapping and reviewing user journeys, while remote days are reserved for coding and deep focus. The company prefers simple, durable solutions over buzzwords or unnecessary complexity, and stays involved through transitions to make sure systems work reliably for operators.
