The Opportunity

Downer’s Wellington team is seeking a fit, motivated General Worker with a Class 2 licence and an interest in civil infrastructure and roading. The role involves supporting machinery operations and carrying out general labouring tasks on a civil site.

Key Duties

• Assist with setting up the work site safely for both the crew and the public.
• Use materials, supplies, and equipment efficiently to support daily work.
• Work cooperatively with the team to meet client expectations and project needs.
• Carry out general machinery support and manual labour tasks as required.

Working Hours

This position includes some night shifts and early morning starts, so flexibility with hours is important.

Requirements

• Class 2 licence is mandatory.
• WTR endorsement is advantageous but not essential.
• Previous experience in civil construction is preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors and maintain physical fitness.
• Dependable, hardworking attitude.
