About the role
This full-time General Maintenance Worker position is based at Troy University in Troy, Alabama. The role is part of a team focused on keeping the campus environment safe, functional, and well maintained. Work schedules can vary and may include different shifts, changing hours, as well as some weekends and holidays.
Compensation
The pay for this role is between $16.00 and $20.00 per hour.
What you will do
In this position, you will support maintenance operations by carrying out a range of repair and upkeep tasks. The work requires practical problem-solving, attention to safety, and the ability to complete everyday maintenance needs reliably.
- Carry out repair and maintenance work across several areas such as basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, plaster repair, machine servicing, electrical work, installations, or vehicle servicing.
- Complete routine tasks such as replacing light bulbs, installing paper dispensers, changing filters, replacing door locks, and handling minor decorative repairs.
- Perform tasks that do not require a licensed tradesperson or journeyman.
- Report to scheduled shifts on time and maintain dependable attendance.
- Take on additional duties as needed based on account requirements and business needs.
