About the Role
Phoebe is developing an AI-agent network designed to coordinate the in-home care market, which represents one of the largest workforces in the United States. The company has already reached product-market fit and is now expanding quickly. It is looking for a founding talent partner to help scale hiring across every major function.
This position carries full ownership of recruiting for engineering, go-to-market, and leadership hires. You will approach each open role as a business challenge and directly influence the company’s next stage of growth.
What Success Looks Like
- In the first 30 days, you should be running a live search from start to finish, beginning with engineering, the core hiring priority. That includes sourcing candidates, screening them, and driving the process through to offer acceptance.
- By 90 days, you should have built the hiring system: an ATS, scorecards, screening filters, pipeline reporting, and a weekly operating rhythm so the team can manage recruitment through a repeatable process rather than relying on the founders’ memory.
- Over the next 6 months, you will be expected to secure the most important hires, including leadership positions and senior engineers. You will also manage external recruiting firms in a hands-on way rather than simply engaging them. As the repeatable work becomes systematized, your focus should shift toward the most difficult searches.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience, gained through a combination of agency work and roles at fast-growing product-focused companies. A background leaning toward technical recruiting or go-to-market recruiting is acceptable.
- A proactive hunter mindset: you know how to identify strong candidates who are not actively searching, and you persist until you get a clear yes. Simply posting a job and waiting is not your approach.
- Strong operational discipline: you know how to generate results through people who do not report to you, and you push external recruiting partners to stay accountable and deliver on schedule.
- High ownership and low ego: you take responsibility for outcomes end to end, and you are willing to handle any task needed to move a hire forward, even if it is not glamorous.
Compensation
The total package is $188,000 to $210,000 plus equity.
