Environmental Officer

Job Summary

The Environmental Officer will oversee the tracking, control, and reporting of environmental and sustainability performance across the project. This position is responsible for keeping activities aligned with environmental laws and standards, carrying out routine site checks, and assisting in the delivery of environmental management plans and performance metrics.

Education and Qualifications

• A degree, diploma, or certificate in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, or a closely related field is required.

Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of total professional experience is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of directly relevant experience in environmental management and sustainability is required.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of CESMP requirements.
• Experience with environmental inspections and monitoring.
• Ability to track KPIs and prepare reports.
• Capability to identify non-conformances and recommend corrective measures.
• Working knowledge of environmental compliance and sustainability practices.

Mandatory Criteria

• Must be able to coordinate, monitor, inspect, and report on environmental matters effectively.
• Strong technical knowledge of environmental standards is essential.
• Candidate must be willing to work 6 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine environmental inspections and monitoring tasks.
• Verify adherence to CESMP and applicable environmental regulations.
• Monitor environmental KPIs and document non-conformances.
• Contribute to sustainability programs and maintain environmental records.
