Electrical Estimator

Role overview

We are seeking an Electrical Estimator to support a fast-moving electrical construction organization. In this role, you will shape bid approach, prepare accurate estimates, and help win complex projects while working with a team that values quality, relationships, and innovation.

The offered pay range is $70,000 to $95,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in turnover meetings and transfer projects to the assigned Project Managers
• Support Project Managers with submittals, RFIs, and pricing for change orders
• Review contractual language, scope details, and notice requirements to ensure compliance
• Prepare precise takeoffs, bids, and proposal documents
• Coordinate bid requests with subcontractors and vendors
• Create and execute effective bidding strategies
• Attend pre-bid meetings at job sites and complete any required training or background screening
• Evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations, confirm specifications, and ensure owner requirements are satisfied
• Lead bid review sessions and surface critical bid risks or items
• Interpret drawings and project specifications, and complete basic risk assessments
• Enter and manage bid items within estimating software
• Handle disagreements, pressure, and conflicts in a calm, professional way

Required experience and qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in the electrical construction industry
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills
• Capacity to work independently while also collaborating across teams and levels
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to take initiative
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Hands-on proficiency with Accubid estimating software
• Experience using Bluebeam
• Leadership experience in an electrical field role is considered an advantage
