About the Opportunity

Chipotle is looking for a Director of Brand Insights & Analytics to guide the company’s consumer, brand, and marketing analytics function. In this role, you will shape how the business measures marketing impact, tracks competitors, and uses data to support menu innovation and growth decisions. You will work across Marketing, Media, Finance, Culinary, Strategy, and Digital teams to turn complex data into clear recommendations for senior leaders.

You will also manage a team of analytics managers and data science talent, set analytical standards, strengthen experimentation discipline, and deliver executive-level insights that improve decision-making across the organization.

Location

This role is based in Newport Beach, CA and requires an in-office schedule of 4 days per week, with Friday as a work-from-home day. Fully remote work is not available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the strategy, operating model, and priorities for Brand Insights & Analytics so they support business and marketing goals.
  • Collaborate with leaders in Marketing, Finance, Culinary, and Strategy to shape decisions related to brand direction, menu changes, promotions, and growth initiatives.
  • Turn broad business problems into structured analyses and practical recommendations.
  • Oversee competitive intelligence, outside data partnerships, and marketing measurement systems.
  • Lead measurement efforts across marketing mix modeling, campaign tracking, experimentation, and incrementality.
  • Develop reporting and dashboard solutions that provide dependable visibility into performance.
  • Guide analytics for limited-time offers, promotions, marketplace efforts, and other growth programs.
  • Build and scale test-and-learn frameworks such as geo-based tests, marketplace pilots, and causal measurement methods.
  • Combine first-party and third-party data to uncover performance drivers and consumer behavior insights.
  • Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing analytics team while setting expectations for rigor, storytelling, and stakeholder management.
  • Build strong working relationships across Marketing, Media, Finance, Culinary, Strategy, and Digital.
  • Create polished executive presentations that explain implications, tradeoffs, and recommended actions.
  • Promote a culture of curiosity, experimentation, partnership, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field such as Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Marketing Science; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in analytics, marketing science, consumer intelligence, or a related area.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading strong analytics teams and cross-functional work.
  • Background in marketing measurement, experimentation, consumer analytics, and strategic decision support.
  • Experience using both first-party and third-party datasets to generate business insights.
  • Preferred background in restaurants, retail, quick-service restaurants, or other consumer-facing businesses.
  • Solid understanding of marketing mix modeling, incrementality testing, experimentation, and campaign analytics.
  • Hands-on proficiency with SQL and familiarity with Python or R, Snowflake, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Ability to apply advanced analytical methods and turn findings into business recommendations.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve analytics workflows and insight generation.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business judgment and intellectual curiosity.
  • Excellent communicator and storyteller who can influence senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborative leader who develops talent and drives accountability.
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity and balancing strategy with execution.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated base salary range for this position is $182,000 to $264,500 per year. In addition, this role is eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards depending on performance and other factors. Final compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and education.
