Role overview
Smart Arches Implant Centers is hiring a Dental Lab Technician to join its Clinical/Operations team in Qatar. The role reports to the Chief Clinical Officer and is classified as non-exempt. This is a full-time position of 35+ hours per week, with pay starting at $25 per hour. The expected start window is flexible within Q2 to Q3 of 2026.
About the company
Smart Arches Dental Implant Centers was established by physicians with the goal of improving patient outcomes and experience. The organization focuses on delivering care with a personal, patient-first approach rather than a large corporate clinic atmosphere. The team is driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s confidence and quality of life.
What the role involves
The Dental Lab Technician will create, finish, and refine dental prosthetics and restorations using both modern digital systems and conventional lab methods. The job calls for strong CAD/CAM ability, craftsmanship, and comfort working with equipment such as milling units and 3D printers. The technician will also coordinate with providers and, when needed, patients to support accurate, high-quality results.
Key duties
- Create dental restorations in Exocad or 3Shape, including crowns, bridges, implant cases, and All-on-X work.
- Run and care for milling machines and 3D printers used in digital production.
- Produce dentures from impressions through final insertion, along with repairs, relines, and re-bases.
- Work closely with doctors to confirm case precision and support patient satisfaction.
- Maintain strong quality standards across all lab output.
- Help with customer case communication when required.
- Observe, maintain, and optimize lab equipment for reliable performance.
- Support other lab team members and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
Required qualifications
Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of experience in a dental lab environment, either digital or traditional. Proficiency with Exocad or 3Shape is required, along with the ability to operate and troubleshoot milling machines and sintering ovens. Familiarity with Hyperdent and iCam is also expected. The role requires a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Preferred background
Experience with implant cases and All-on-X restorations is preferred. Prior training in dental laboratory technology is also an advantage.
Physical and work environment
The job may require regular standing and walking, as well as frequent use of hands and arms to work with equipment such as computers, telephones, file cabinets, copiers, fax machines, and printers. The technician may occasionally need to lift or move items weighing between 10 and 25 pounds. Close vision and the ability to adjust focus are important. Some travel to healthcare practices may be necessary. The workplace is generally low to moderate in noise level.
Safety and employment notes
The company expects staff to follow PPE requirements, which may include face masks, gloves, gowns, and additional protective items as needed in line with CDC standards. The organization may update the job duties as business needs change and may assign tasks beyond those listed here. This job description does not create an employment contract.
Equal opportunity statement
Smart Arches promotes individual growth, inclusion, innovation, and strong patient and provider satisfaction. The company values diversity, inclusion, and equity, and seeks to build a workforce that reflects the communities it serves. It welcomes applicants from underrepresented groups in the medical sector, including people of color and candidates with non-traditional work or education backgrounds.
