Changi Airport Group’s Enterprise Data Science Management team is looking for an experienced Data Scientist focused on marketing. This role sits within the Data Science function and blends AI/ML practice with quantitative research. The work centers on understanding customer purchase behavior and uncovering insights that help identify and satisfy unmet customer needs.

Predictive analytics

  • Lead modelling and predictive analysis using machine learning, AI, graph methods, and generative AI to shape short- and long-term guidance for retail innovation, product pricing, and related decisions.
  • Use all relevant data inputs, including digital analytics, to support brand, product, and category growth across the customer path to purchase and strengthen market share.
  • Drive marketing innovation by identifying and applying predictive analytics and AI-powered tools.

Business strategy impact

  • Work with business stakeholders and senior leaders to ensure analytics is designed around the right business questions and converted into strategy and action plans.
  • Translate data findings into insights and recommendations that improve decision-making across the business, including performance analysis, driver analysis, and ad hoc management support.

  • Promote a high-performance culture and lead with confidence, context, humility, and effective collaboration across all levels.
  • Set best practices for instrumentation and experimentation, and share them with EDSM and other data science or analytics teams.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant technical discipline, along with 4 years of experience in a related role.
  • Strong enthusiasm for AI engineering, machine learning, and data science.
  • Solid understanding of the AI services market, with the ability to shape go-to-market plans alongside marketing teams.
  • Deep curiosity for empirical research and answering complex questions using data.
  • Ability to explain advanced quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and action-oriented way.
  • Hands-on experience with AI and data science tools such as Jupyter, LLMs, PyTorch, TensorFlow, AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, and Azure ML.
  • Proven success in leading AI solutions from incubation and proof of concept through to large-scale real-time deployment.
