Role overview
This junior-level data analyst position focuses on turning raw information into practical business insight. The role supports operational and strategic decisions by gathering, structuring, studying, and interpreting data from a variety of sources. You will help teams understand performance trends, customer patterns, and key metrics through reports and visual dashboards.
What you will do
- Collect, organize, and examine data from different business sources to support decision-making.
- Create and update reports, dashboards, and visual summaries that help stakeholders track performance and trends.
- Check datasets for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and overall quality.
- Clean and validate data to make sure reporting outputs remain reliable.
- Study large datasets to uncover patterns, risks, opportunities, and areas that may need improvement.
- Present findings in clear reports and presentations that can be understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Work with cross-functional teams on forecasting, performance tracking, process improvement, and other business initiatives.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a similar discipline is expected. The ideal candidate should bring strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and close attention to detail.
Hands-on familiarity with spreadsheets, analytics tools, reporting platforms, and data visualization software is important. Knowledge of SQL, database fundamentals, statistical methods, and data management practices is an advantage.
You should also have strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convert complex findings into simple, actionable recommendations. Good organization, time management, and the ability to handle several priorities and deadlines at once are also important. Exposure to business intelligence, reporting methods, data governance, forecasting, performance measurement, and process improvement will be helpful.
