Role Summary

This position focuses on operating CNC turning (lathe) equipment to support daily production needs while maintaining accuracy, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Run CNC turning and lathe machines in line with production schedules.
• Carefully load raw stock and remove completed parts without damaging material or machine components.
• Understand technical drawings, process documentation, and shop-floor instructions before starting work.
• Adjust tool offsets and make routine machine corrections to keep dimensions within tolerance.
• Carry out initial, mid-process, and final quality checks using suitable measuring tools.
• Use instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and related precision tools.
• Watch machine operation closely and escalate unusual behavior, faults, or stoppages to the supervisor.
• Change tools when they are worn and ensure cutting tools remain in usable condition during production.
• Record production output and inspection results accurately and on time.
• Verify that finished parts comply with quality expectations and customer requirements.
• Adhere to SOPs, safety protocols, PPE rules, and shop-floor discipline.
• Keep the work area organized and clean by following 5S standards.
• Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and help reduce unplanned downtime.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to meet daily output goals.
