Role overview

The Client Operations Delivery Analyst is responsible for running, supporting, and enabling commercial transactions for Cisco customers, partners, and internal teams. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, reducing friction for stakeholders, strengthening productivity, and helping maintain a smooth customer experience with high data quality.

This position also plays a key part in Cisco’s evolving pricing and discounting environment by turning business strategy into practical data requirements for internal systems. The analyst helps automate and refine processes so price and discount data can be managed accurately and efficiently.

By improving data quality, speeding up operational execution, and supporting new offer launches, the role contributes to faster time-to-market, stronger partner incentive execution, and better commercial responsiveness.

Team and business context

The role sits within the Pricing Operations team, part of the Commerce & Growth Acceleration organization. The team focuses on pricing and discounting operations, data consistency, automation, and tooling to support a simpler buying experience at scale.

The team partners closely with Operations, Finance, Sales, Compliance, and IT to improve policies, processes, and tools for Cisco’s hardware, software, service, and subscription offers.

What you will do

  • Translate complex business strategies and requirements into clear operational and data needs.
  • Study large and varied data sets to generate insights that support informed decision-making.
  • Lead, support, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives for new offer setups and operational improvements.
  • Spot process bottlenecks and redesign workflows to improve efficiency and output.
  • Work closely with Sales, Finance, Product Management, and IT to understand requirements and recommend data-backed solutions.
  • Document business processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures in detail.
  • Train and support colleagues on updated tools and processes.
  • Monitor, report, and help resolve issues related to offer setup and maintenance.
  • Identify inconsistencies, delivery risks, and margin-impacting problems, then recommend corrective actions.
  • Support the streamlining, automation, or outsourcing of commerce and internal processes where appropriate.
  • Help enable self-service and training options that make it easier for customers, partners, and internal users to transact with Cisco.

Minimum qualifications

  • At least 5 years of relevant business analysis experience in the IT industry, including data analysis, requirements gathering, process improvement, and process automation.
  • Experience conducting data analysis and audit work on large datasets using advanced Excel functions such as macros, pivot tables, formulas, and slicing tools to uncover trends and business insights.
  • Proven ability to analyze information from at least four different sources, identify root causes, assess solution options, and present findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success in change and process management, including leading at least two change initiatives that achieved full user adoption and at least 20% process efficiency improvement.
  • Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions for complex operational workflows.

Preferred traits

  • Strong written and verbal communication, with a confident and accountable working style.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Well organized, highly analytical, and strong in problem solving.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Reliable, responsive, and prompt in meeting commitments.
