Role Overview

This position is for a CCTV technician who can support site evaluation, installation, configuration, integration, and troubleshooting of security systems. The job involves working with IP and analog camera setups as well as related security and communication equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with site surveys to identify suitable camera positions, coverage areas, and the right lens selection.
• Plan cabling paths, power access, and network availability for a smooth installation.
• Calculate storage requirements based on resolution settings and retention expectations, while ensuring hardware compatibility.
• Install and position both IP and analog camera systems.
• Configure DVRs and NVRs, including recording schedules, motion detection settings, and remote access features.
• Set up integrated security solutions such as biometrics and access control systems, attendance machines, intercoms, communication systems, and public address systems.
• Carry out basic hardware initialization and formatting of security devices, including OS/firmware-related setup where needed.
• Use basic networking knowledge such as IP addressing, subnetting, and gateway configuration so devices can be discovered on the local network.
• Support system integration between different security components and assist in commissioning activities.
• Identify and fix issues such as hardware faults, video loss, and signal interference in existing CCTV installations.
• Test installed systems thoroughly to confirm there are no blind spots and that video feeds remain stable.

Technical Requirements

The role calls for practical knowledge of CCTV installation, cabling, wiring, configuration, and network-based device setup. Familiarity with IP-based networking concepts and integration of multiple security systems will be important for success.

Eligibility

Applicants with any educational background may apply; graduation is not mandatory.

Compensation

The offered pay is INR 50,000 to INR 200,000 per month.
