Role overview

Join a busy bakery team in Jesmond and use your baking expertise to produce fresh, high-quality items that customers return for every day. This role is suited to someone who enjoys an early start, values teamwork, and wants to keep their afternoons free.

You’ll be part of a fast-moving, energetic environment where knowledge sharing is encouraged and there is ongoing support to help team members develop their skills and grow their careers.

Working roster

The listed roster runs from Monday to Sunday, starting at 3:00 AM and finishing at 12:00 PM.

What you will do

• Bring the Everyday ACTs approach (Acknowledge, Care and Thank) to customer service and product delivery.
• Prepare bakery items that customers enjoy and look forward to buying again.
• Maintain strong food safety and hygiene standards, keeping work areas clean, tidy, and ready for audit checks.
• Help guide and support the team while contributing to a positive culture focused on wellbeing and shared achievement.
• Continue building your baking knowledge and leadership capability in a high-pressure setting.
• Work effectively under physical demands and tight production timelines in a commercial bakery.

What you need to bring

• A recognised baking qualification, or an equivalent level of industry experience.
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced bakery environment.
• The ability to stay organised, resilient, and productive when the pace is demanding.
