Associate Relationship Manager - MEL/PL

Role overview

This position sits within Rural Banking and is focused on strengthening relationships with rural banking customers while delivering a strong service experience. The role supports the Relationship Manager in identifying business owners and entrepreneurs in the assigned catchment area, understanding their business borrowing needs, and helping grow client acquisition and household-level engagement to improve lifetime customer value.

Key responsibilities

• Map household requirements across assigned villages and local areas through zoning and field activity.
• Carry out end-user verification after loan disbursement and work toward monthly as well as yearly group loan booking goals.
• Study customer needs, identify cross-sell opportunities, and generate additional revenue based on lifestyle, risk profile, and requirement patterns.
• Support growth of liability products in rural markets through lead generation and account opening aligned to customer needs.
• Meet individual and branch sales targets through fresh business, referrals, and retention of existing relationships.
• Encourage customers to adopt digital and online banking channels.
• Help maintain strong collection performance through consistent follow-up and discipline.
• Ensure loan and savings account documentation is completed accurately.
• Work with the operations officer to enable prompt and correct data entry.
• Follow bank policies and compliance requirements in day-to-day work.
• Perform field checks and customer verification to maintain account quality.
• Track market developments and compare practices with competitor banks.
• Suggest process improvements that can raise service quality and operating efficiency across the branch network.
• Assist with livelihood advancement and community development programs.

Education and experience

Graduation is required in BA, BCom, BBA, BSc, BTech, BE, or any other recognized graduate qualification. The bank is looking for candidates with 0 to 1 year of relevant branch banking experience.
