Assisted Living Code Inspector

Role Overview

We are looking for an Assisted Living Code Inspector to carry out Housing Quality Standards (HQS) inspections for healthcare facilities in Trenton, New Jersey. This position includes both full-time and part-time hiring, with 10 part-time openings and 2 full-time openings available.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and complete on-site inspections for new construction and substantial rehabilitation projects involving assisted living properties, following OHP requirements.
• Assess housing units against HUD Housing Quality Standards (HQS).
• Prepare inspection reports and complete all supporting documentation in line with HUD and OHP contract obligations as well as company procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be open to traveling for inspection assignments.
• A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation are required.
• Applicants should have one of the following: ICC certification, an engineering license, or an architectural license.
• Alternatively, candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in multifamily housing inspections.
• In addition, candidates must bring a minimum of 2 years of experience conducting inspections for HUD or other government/local agencies in multifamily housing.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay ranges from $35 to $50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
