Role Summary
This position focuses on daily transcon operations, including shipment bookings, accurate and timely billing, and responsive customer service while coordinating closely with service providers.
The department is expanding and is looking for a bilingual individual who can thrive in a fast-moving, professional, and dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage shipment bookings through multiple communication channels, including phone and email.
- Reply to customer questions and provide freight quotations by email when needed.
- Enter all required data into the Expeditors Transport Management System (ETMS) accurately and on time for Operations Performance Assessment (OPA) purposes.
- Share truck details quickly and keep customers informed about freight movement status.
- Update system KPI events promptly and consistently.
- Verify customer credit standing and agreed rates before arranging shipments.
- Maintain a strong understanding of customer profiles and handling requirements to ensure full compliance and a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Address customer complaints and enquiries quickly, offering suggestions, practical solutions, or recovery support where possible.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with both external and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit reports within required timelines.
- Carry out additional duties assigned by the Department Supervisor or Manager.
Working Conditions
The job does not involve heavy physical exertion or significant postural strain. Work typically includes occasional walking, sitting, or standing with normal energy use.
Working conditions are generally comfortable, with minimal exposure to unpleasant, adverse, or hazardous elements.
Qualifications
Candidates should have tertiary education and at least 1 year of work experience. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
