Role Overview

The Solutions Engineer for Global Payroll will work closely with Deel’s Global Payroll go-to-market teams and internal stakeholders to help drive customer success. You will partner with Global Payroll Account Executives to support prospects evaluating Deel’s Global Payroll solution and help demonstrate the platform’s value and trustworthiness.

This role focuses on turning complex customer payroll needs into practical, scalable, and compliant solutions. You will support the sales journey from discovery to implementation handoff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with go-to-market teams to present the value of Deel’s Global Payroll platform and help win technical evaluations.
  • Work with prospective customers to understand their current payroll processes and identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
  • Serve as the technical lead during sales engagements, including discovery sessions, RFP answers, product demos, and integration workshops.
  • Coordinate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to represent prospect requirements, speed up deal progress, and sharpen value positioning.
  • Bring a constructive, improvement-focused mindset by questioning existing approaches and looking for ways to scale and refine processes.
  • Keep current with global payroll laws, market trends, and best practices to strengthen expertise and enhance service quality.
  • Assist with partnership-driven and marketing-led initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong command of both Mandarin and English.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a Solutions Engineer or Pre-Sales Consultant role.
  • Prior experience in a global payroll or HCM company.
  • Working knowledge of HCM and ERP payroll integrations, especially Workday and SuccessFactors.
  • Willingness to travel within and outside the territory for up to about 10% or less.
  • Excellent presentation skills with a clear focus on business value; multilingual ability is an added advantage.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a positive, proactive approach.
