Toyota North America is seeking a Software Engineer to join the DevOps group within Toyota Financial Services. This position plays a key part in automating infrastructure and operational work that supports critical technology products and helps teams deliver dependable solutions.

What you will do

• Automate infrastructure and platform operations for cloud-native applications to improve consistency, scale, and efficiency.
• Raise engineering and operations standards by improving coding approaches, development practices, and team workflows.
• Explore and introduce new technologies and methods that support highly available and resilient systems.
• Eliminate repetitive manual work by building automation that supports stronger engineering output.
• Improve CI/CD processes by enhancing deployment pipelines, automation, and release stability.
• Work with teammates to encourage Agile habits, share knowledge, and strengthen a collaborative engineering environment.
• Support team development through hiring efforts, mentorship, and technical guidance.
• Contribute to the continuous evolution of DevOps capabilities through an improvement-focused mindset.

What you need

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or quantitative field such as computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or mathematics.
• At least 3 years of software development experience in cloud-native applications and services within a modern engineering environment.
• Strong programming and scripting ability in languages such as Java or Python, especially for automation and CI/CD customization.
• Practical experience using CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Working knowledge of how to design, automate, and sustain reliable software delivery workflows.

Preferred experience

• Exposure to DevSecOps automation that integrates security into delivery pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Background in CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and/or Site Reliability Engineering operations.
