Role Overview

This position sits within the compliance engineering team and supports Pinterest’s work across intellectual property, content, youth, privacy, trademark, and broader regulatory obligations such as the Digital Services Act and privacy requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with engineers and compliance experts to build solutions that help Pinterest meet IP, content, youth, and privacy compliance requirements.
• Work closely with Legal, Operations, Product Management, and Data Privacy teams to create compliance systems that fit business goals.
• Create and improve tools and workflows that track compliance and reduce risk.
• Own project schedules and drive compliance initiatives through to delivery on time.
• Architect and implement scalable systems that support compliance needs.
• Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate design, coding, debugging, and documentation while validating outputs with your own judgment.
• Contribute to team practices for AI-assisted engineering by sharing useful patterns, guardrails, and lessons learned.

What We’re Looking For

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as computer science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to turn complex technical ideas into clear, actionable guidance.
• Solid programming ability in Python.
• Exposure to TypeScript is helpful.
• A history of delivering dependable, high-quality software.
• Experience leading technical work and delivering outcomes with measurable impact.
• Comfort working in agile development environments.
• Experience with AI coding assistants and agentic tools, along with the ability to solve problems from first principles when needed.
• Familiarity with the regulatory landscape is an advantage, though not mandatory.

Location and Work Model

This role is not eligible for relocation support. It follows Pinterest’s PinFlex approach, with occasional in-office collaboration expected 1–2 times every 3 months. The position may be based anywhere in the country, subject to that collaboration requirement.

Compensation and Benefits

The advertised base salary range for location-based applicants is €77,127 to €134,972 per year. This role is also eligible for equity. Final compensation may vary based on location, travel, relevant experience, and specialized skills. Benefits information is available through Pinterest’s employee resources.
