Overview
This role is being represented by a partner organization that oversees the application review and follow-up process. The opportunity is for a Senior Learning Experience Designer located in Canada.
You will help shape how people learn, develop, and perform inside a global company that is growing quickly and works across legal, risk, compliance, and HR functions. The position blends instructional design with practical eLearning production to create learning experiences that are structured, engaging, and measurable.
From spotting capability gaps through to building learning solutions and rolling out digital programs, you will own the learning process end to end. You will work closely with HR partners, subject matter experts, and business leaders to influence how knowledge is created, shared, and applied across the business. Your work will have a direct effect on employee performance, onboarding outcomes, and leadership development at scale.
This is a collaborative and creative role suited to someone who enjoys combining learning strategy, design thinking, and digital content creation.
Key Accountabilities
- Run learning needs assessments and performance consulting discussions with business stakeholders to uncover skill gaps and set learning priorities.
- Build complete learning strategies, including learning goals, success measures, and learner journeys tied to business objectives.
- Develop instructional assets such as storyboards, scripts, facilitator materials, and learner workbooks.
- Use adult learning principles and instructional design frameworks such as ADDIE, SAM, and Bloom’s Taxonomy to shape effective learning experiences.
- Create interactive eLearning content in Articulate 360, specifically Storyline and Rise, while maintaining strong engagement and production quality.
- Partner with SMEs and HR stakeholders to collect content, confirm accuracy, and keep development aligned throughout the build process.
- Publish SCORM/xAPI-ready learning content, support LMS setup, and ensure training programs are deployed and tracked smoothly.
- Measure training effectiveness using evaluation models such as Kirkpatrick and turn findings into practical improvements.
- Produce supporting media assets including graphics, animations, screen captures, and short videos to strengthen the learning experience.
- Set quality assurance standards and development best practices while helping improve L&D processes over time.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, with a mix of instructional design and eLearning development work.
- Advanced proficiency with Articulate 360, including Storyline and Rise, plus experience building interactive digital learning modules.
- Strong command of adult learning theory and instructional design approaches.
- Hands-on experience with SCORM/xAPI and enterprise learning management systems.
- Ability to simplify complex topics into clear, engaging, learner-friendly content.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with SMEs, HR teams, and senior leaders.
- Good project management ability, including the capacity to manage several learning projects at once.
- Experience assessing learning outcomes and presenting results in a concise, executive-ready way.
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience; advanced certifications are considered an asset.
