Production Helper

Role overview

Apparel Group is seeking a Production Helper to support day-to-day manufacturing activities in Umm al-Quwain, United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on assisting operators, keeping the production area clean and organized, and helping maintain safe, efficient workflow throughout the shift.

Key responsibilities

• Support machine operators during production by supplying the tools, materials, and hands-on help they need.
• Assist with machine preparation and cleaning before and after production cycles to keep operations running smoothly.
• Carry out basic support tasks during changeovers to help reduce interruptions and keep output moving.
• Keep floors, workstations, and equipment surfaces clean across the production area.
• Dispose of waste properly and follow hygiene expectations during the shift.
• Clean and sanitize tools and equipment regularly to help prevent contamination and support GMP compliance.
• Help check that machines and production lines are clean and ready before startup.
• Immediately escalate any faults, damage, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Verify that materials and components are arranged correctly and ready for production use.
• Coordinate with operators and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and within required timelines.
• Follow company policies, safety rules, and standard operating procedures at all times.
• Contribute during busy production periods and take on other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or an equivalent qualification.
• Previous exposure to a production or manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing workflows and equipment handling.
• Ability to manage cleaning, material movement, and other support duties effectively.
• Familiarity with hygiene requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices is an advantage.
• Enough physical stamina to handle moderate lifting.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Good communication and collaboration skills for working with operators and supervisors.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when needed.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to safety and cleanliness standards.

This is a full-time onsite role based in Umm al-Quwain. The position requires regular teamwork, adherence to safety and quality procedures, and readiness to support production across varying workloads.
