Role Summary
This position is for a P247 Technician based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role supports the operation and upkeep of the Patriot Transmitter Tank Test Stations and the associated cooling system.
Key Duties
- Run and maintain the test station used for the PAT 247 patriot transmitter tank.
- Carry out acceptance testing, combustion checks, troubleshooting, repair work, and servicing of final tanks and the transmitter regulator’s high-pressure primary power supply actuator.
- Confirm that high-pressure power supply equipment for the regulator remains in working condition after units are removed for repair.
- Identify defects in tanks that cannot be repaired and narrow faults down to the lowest replaceable component.
- Replace faulty parts and repair damaged components when needed.
- Test the unit under test and restore it to a serviceable state.
- Take part in on-the-job training activities.
- Spot poor maintenance practices and reinforce the correct methods for troubleshooting, repair, and servicing.
- Prepare maintenance documentation and submit Systems Problem Reports.
- Handle other related duties in the same technical area.
Required Background
- A diploma in Electronics from a recognized local or international college or institute.
- Saudi nationality is mandatory.
- At least 8 years of experience working with equipment at a central maintenance station and/or in a factory setting focused on testing, fault isolation, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic units and subassemblies.
- Strong practical knowledge of both basic and advanced electronics.
- Ability to test combustion processes and troubleshoot or repair primary and final high-pressure regulator supply cabinets in the patriot transmitter group.
- Hands-on familiarity with engineering documents, schematic diagrams, general kits, and common commercial test equipment.
